my name is minmo, but you can also call me laika. i decided to create a personal webpage out of nostalgia and a love for the era of the old internet where people would make sites like this!
as a kid, i remember spending hours on sites like catstuff and being so fascinated with them. i loved reading what people had to say, their collections of web graphics, everything! sites like this are so customizable, i feel like they really have a voice unique to the person making them in the way that social media doesn't.
it's a little hard to write so much about myself, but i will do my best!
noob slayer is a very handsome and well-behaved little man. he's the first reptile i've ever owned! i always wanted one, but my mom was too afraid. he's great with being handled, and he's not picky about his food at all. i love how funny and cute he is. it's so fun to check in on him every day and see what he's up to (usually sleeping in his hide, but he likes to climb a lot too!) handling him is also really fun, he's so curious about the world around him. i love my little guy!
i have more pets, but i couldn't take them with me when i moved due to my partner's allergies. they still live at home with my parents! i have 2 parakeets named jukebox and sucre and a cat named luna.
sucre was my first bird, i got her in middle school. she's light blue with a white patch on her tummy. she's very feisty, and in general she only seems to tolerate the presence of me or any other birds. but she's my girl!
jukebox is my other parakeet. he's a grayish-green color. he's around 6 years old at this point. he's very friendly and he loves to sing! he's obsessed with sucre, but she doesn't seem to reciprocate. he's always singing to her, cuddling with her, and trying to play with her. he's a sweetie!
luna is my cat. she's getting pretty old by now. i got her a year or two before sucre. luna is my ultimate baby. i named her after both the cat from sailor moon and the princess from my little pony because, well, i was in middle school LOL. she's the sweetest cat ever, but only towards me hahaha. when i lived with my parents, she would sleep on top of me every night. she wants to spend every second with me! she has extra toes on her front paws, which makes her look like she has thumbs, and she has the biggest primordial pouch i've ever seen. she loves treats and she loves to sit at the window and watch birds outside. she also really likes to play with crumpled up balls of paper, and she swats at people through the railing on the stairs. she's really really special to me and i love her so much.
my parents have two other dogs, but neither of them are mine. they have sage, who's a pit bull/rottweiler mix, and buddy, who's... some kind of mix? we think he's some kind of bloodhound/shepherd mix, but he's a shelter dog who we don't really know much about. my brother picked up sage from the side of the road as a puppy, but she ended up being too much of a handful & he pawned her off over to my parents. she's a very handsome dog. unfortunately, she's kind of neurotic and has separation anxiety. buddy is her polar opposite. he's chill and relaxed to a fault. it's like he doesn't understand the concept of getting in trouble. he's sooo sweet though!
